“What have I gained from yoga?
Mental strength, the power of breathing and that overall ‘feel good’ sensation in my body and soul. I learned the mind controls a lot. When I think I can or can’t do something, it’s all in my head, so if I get into a pose and I think I can’t do it and my mind is limiting my body, I tell my self as much as this may be uncomfortable or unknown, I can do it if I put my mind to it!
*Power of breathing-I learned the more I breathe the more I can relax the more I let my self go further in a pose or allow my self concentration to push forward. I have also used this outside of yoga, on planes and while driving to help me be more patient.
*Feel good sensation – Who doesn’t feel good after they’ve worked out? Yoga works on the mind, body and soul I just feel soooooo good afterwards.
And last but not least I have gained an amazing yoga teacher who is knowledgeable and continues to help me be my best yogi self, not to mention a life long friend.”
